Stats on concurrent SSL VPN sessions.

In the past I always used ‘sh cry is sa’ to give me a view of the number of concurrent VPN sessions on an ASA. I am involved in an Anyconnect SSL VPN roll out and today I was asked to pull off stats on how many users are connected to each solution.

The following commands give you details of the connections to an ASA. You can pipe them to include and look at the lines with ‘Username’ in them to easily get a list of the usernames.

show vpn-sessiondb anyconnect | in Username
show vpn-sessiondb ra-ikev1-ipsec | in Username

You can also use this command to get headline statistics on both types of connection with current connection count, total cumulative connections and peak concurrent connections.

show vpn-sessiondb
